Job Title: Architectural Drafter Job Description Our residential architectural firm specializes in working with production home builders. We are seeking an Architectural Drafter with experience in residential architecture. The ideal candidate is an energetic and positive individual with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, ready to begin their career and grow with our team. Responsibilities: + Work directly with the Project Manager and Director of Architecture in a mentorship role. + Collaborate with an architectural drafting team to produce complete construction documents for production home builders, including floor plans, elevations, and details for new construction of single-family and multi-family residential projects. + Identify and solve problems in a timely manner, working well with a group to achieve common goals. + Maintain self-motivation and self-direction to accurately and thoroughly complete projects. + Be open and willing to make adjustments based on the Director of Architecture's feedback. + Balance team and individual responsibilities, give and welcome feedback. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience specifically in residential architecture. + Architectural Associate's Degree or higher. + Experience working in an architectural firm. + Experience taking architectural plans from conceptual design through construction documents. + Proficiency using AutoCAD Architecture. Work Environment The firm has a collaborative environment with 3 principals, 4 structural engineers, and 8 draftsmen. Principals have their offices while the rest of the team works in an open-plan area with workstations. The firm values a 'work hard for reward' mentality, favoring those willing to stay until the work is done. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5:30 PM.
