Description

The CAD Technician will assist technical teams of detailers, designers and engineers to create world class detail on a variety of projects. This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions.

•\tPrepare new drawings and revise existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.

•\tResponsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.

•\tResponsible for adhering to the drafting practices of selected discipline.

•\tAssist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.

•\tAssist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.

•\tAssist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.

•\tResearch solutions to project concerns and present solutions to design problems.

•\tAssist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

•\tPerforms other duties as assigned.

•\tComplies with all policies and standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

•\tHigh School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology required.

•\tBachelor or Associate Degree in computer aided drafting/design preferred.

•\tBasic knowledge of commands in at least one CAD program; ability to occasionally use higher-level commands, time saving programs and routines.

•\tBasic knowledge and experience in multiple CAD systems preferred (including 3D and BIM).

•\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.

•\tStrong problem solving and analytical skills.

•\tAbility to work in collaborative team environment.

•\tBasic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

•\tDemonstrated leadership skills.

•\tSelf-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.

•\tAbility to meet deadlines and budget.

•\tCandidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e. without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
