Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

The Drafter role is suited for a highly self-motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The primary responsibility of the Drafter will be the creation of mechanical and electrical drawings, Bills of Material, and related technical documentation using 2D and 3D software to support the engineering group in the quoting, design, and fabrication process.

ResponsibilitiesHandle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineers.Work with Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards, and design documentation.Complete project responsibilities accurately and on time.Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.Maintain all revisions of project drawings.Develop 3D models by analyzing prototypes and 2D drawings.Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.Essential SkillsHigh proficiency in AutoCAD.SolidWorks experience.3D modeling skills.Ability to develop design layouts in 2D and 3D drawings.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.Ability to work under pressure with deadlines while managing multiple priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail.Strong work ethic.Ability to work successfully and collaboratively with a team.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in computer-aided drafting and design, engineering technology, or a similar technical degree.A minimum of two years of experience.Knowledge of manufacturing processes and how it relates to design.Hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
