The Pine Hill Mill is currently seeking a Drafter. The Pine Hill Mill is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two machines. The mill includes multiple process lines of wood handling, pulping, power and recovery, and effluent treatment. The position works within the Maintenance and Engineering group and reports to the Engineering Manager.
The Job You Will Perform:
The Drafter will work closely with a variety of different areas throughout the mill including operations, maintenance, technical, and management.
Use the latest version of AutoCAD to prepare design drawings with plan, profile, section and detail views as designated by the engineering team Work with Project Managers in reviewing project specifications and preparing project plans Work with engineering team in developing construction plans Prepare sketches of details not included on existing drawings to accurately reflect as-built field conditions Prepare drawings, forms, maps, and lists based on direction provided by designers and engineers Perform field visits and report on construction progress
The Skills You Will Bring:
CAD certification with 2+ Years of relevant experience (CAD Classroom Training may be considered in lieu of experience) Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and current versions of AutoCAD. Must be a self-starter and work independently with conflicting deadlines Must be able to work well in a team environment Problem solving and critical-thinking skills in designing engineering plans Produce quality drawings and receive constructive feedback Reading and understanding general arrangement, loop sheets, motor elementary, P&ID, piping, as-builts, and construction drawings Effective communication written and verbal
