Job Title: Drafter
Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Drafter with a strong understanding of drafting and SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will use reason and logic to think outside the box and create innovative designs. This role involves using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create technical drawings, plans, and layouts. The drafter will work closely with engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements, calculate dimensions, review sketches, and ensure designs meet specifications.

ResponsibilitiesUse computer-aided design (CAD) software to create technical drawings, plans, and layouts.Work with engineers and architects to gather product and structural requirements.Determine dimensions, weight limitations, and material requirements.Review rough sketches and ensure designs meet specifications.Create technical documents and reports, including manuals describing product features and maintenance procedures.Identify potential operational issues and ensure compliance with regulations.Review construction drawings for accuracy and adherence to specifications.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Experience with molded rubber and expansion joints.Strong drafting and CAD skills.Mechanical engineering knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SolidWorks is preferred.No degree required, but relevant experience is preferred.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
