Job Description
The Drafter is a key part of all projects and new sales. When orders are received, the drafter is tasked with creating the initial drawing, which is then sent back to clients to be accepted or marked up. The drafter makes the necessary changes before the drawing is sent to production. This position requires drafting products in SolidWorks, translating concepts from the sales team into 3D models for assembly/manufacturing, and working to standardize the design process. The drafter will create assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and BOMs.

The work environment is fast-paced and involves working on multiple projects simultaneously. The position operates Monday through Friday, 8-5, with some flexibility in start and end times. While the role is mostly desk-based, there are opportunities and encouragement to go onto the shop floor. Due to the work with resin/plastic, the facility sometimes has chemical smells which may be irritating to those with sensitive noses. The drafter will have the opportunity to see the final product and witness testing, such as pressure testing, before the product is shipped out.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
