The successful candidate will use CAD systems to design 3D detailed components, create multi-level 3D assemblies, and generate detailed 2D print drawings. They will prepare and review engineering drawings and documentation, process Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet specifications and standards. The Drafter will also contribute to product development and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all drawings and documentation. Responsibilities + Use CAD system to design 3D detailed components + Create multi-level 3D assemblies + Create detailed components and assemble 2D print drawings + Prepare and review engineering drawings and documentation + Process Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders (ECR/ECO) + Contribute to product development + Develop and modify designs based on project requirements + Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet specifications and standards + Assist in the development of new products and improvements to existing products + Ensure accuracy and completeness of all drawings and documentation Essential Skills + SolidWorks + Metal product design + AutoCAD + 3D design + 3D assemblies + 2D drawings + Engineering Change Orders (ECO) + Engineering Change Requests (ECR) Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field or related experience + Minimum 3 years of experience in SolidWorks or other CAD software + Experience with SolidWorks PDM, document platform experience is a plus + Strong understanding of mechanical design and drafting principles + Experience with manufacturing processes and materials is a plus Work Environment This role is 100% onsite, operating in three large production/assembly buildings with a total of 300 employees, including 4-5 in the engineering team. The work schedule is Monday to Friday. The facility primarily handles assembly, coating, inspection, finishing, and shipping/receiving, with manufacturing being outsourced.
