Job Title: Drafter

Job Description

The drafter will spend 90% of their day at a CAD station developing detail part and assembly drawings for mechanical equipment such as drying equipment, conveyors, air filtration, and pneumatic and hydraulic equipment. The majority of the work will involve parts and assemblies rather than whole systems.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret existing prints, locate and modify existing drawings, and release them for production.Provide engineering support for the sales team.Create installation drawings.Specify and locate individual components.Occasional travel to customer sites to take measurements (once permanent).Filing and data entry of engineering documentation.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD.Experience creating part drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.Ability to use a tape measure accurately to check part dimensions.Detail-oriented and willing to pitch in anywhere.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience with Inventor.Associate's degree in drafting or equivalent.Work Environment

This position requires the individual to work at a desk in their own space for the majority of the time. The ideal candidate must be a \"sit down and get it done\" person who does not need to socialize frequently. They will receive their daily direction and be expected to execute tasks independently, reaching out when they have questions. Extra hours may be required from October to March during the busy season. Up to 15% travel may be necessary for visiting customer sites to take measurements. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
