Description: Currently seeking a Drafter/Designer to work in the Power Delivery Underground Transmission Line Group in Plantation, FL. The successful candidate will support underground transmission line project work and will develop detail drawings and plan & profile drawings to support permitting and construction packages. Required Skills & Qualifications: + Associate’s degree/ technical education or equivalent experience + Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D + Experience with underground utilities or telecommunications drafting/design + Strong written and oral communications skills + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Additional Skills Desired: + Experience creating alignments, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks in Civil 3D + Ability to self-check own work for completeness and accuracy + Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems and experience interpreting surveys + Experience with MicroStation is a plus + Strong Mathematics skills Role Type: + This is a 12 month contract to hire opportunity. + If hired for the role, you will work as a consultant of Actalent during the contract to hire period. + Full benefits, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, among other great benefits. (potential for hybrid schedule in the future) + There are currently 3 Engineers from the Underground Transmission Line group in Sunrise. + The group has 30+ people across all offices and share resources frequently. + There are 15 Distribution people that report to Sunrise, but they are rarely in the office (most are sitting on site with clients or working remote). + They has 2500 employees nationwide.
