Job Title: Drafter/Designer Job Description The CAD Technician will function as a member of a technical team alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers and will be responsible for the creation and revision of technical drawings associated with electrical distribution design. Responsibilities + Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches, layouts, or written directions. + Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures. + Follow ANSI standard drafting practices. + Assist in drafting, design, and documentation for various projects. + Utilize various drafting and design software. + Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers. + Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD. + Experience with electrical substation design preferred but NOT necessary + Engineering team interface + Drafting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to access drafting software where projects are housed. + Proficiency in using Bluebeam to access and review drawings. + Attention to detail and a desire to see projects through to completion. Work Environment In-office design work with access to the latest drafting and design software. The role involves collaboration with a technical team and may require adherence to specific dress codes as per office policies.
