Job Title: Drafter/Designer

Job Description

The CAD Technician will function as a member of a technical team alongside Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers and will be responsible for the creation and revision of technical drawings associated with electrical distribution design.

ResponsibilitiesAssist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches, layouts, or written directions.Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.Follow ANSI standard drafting practices.Assist in drafting, design, and documentation for various projects.Utilize various drafting and design software.Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.Perform all other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD.Experience with electrical substation design preferred but NOT necessaryEngineering team interface Drafting skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to access drafting software where projects are housed.Proficiency in using Bluebeam to access and review drawings.Attention to detail and a desire to see projects through to completion.Work Environment

In-office design work with access to the latest drafting and design software. The role involves collaboration with a technical team and may require adherence to specific dress codes as per office policies.
