A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DRAFTING TECHNICIAN As the Drafting Technician within our engineering division, you will work with a range of differing projects. You will pay attention to detail and be proficient in gathering project details and communicating with our engineering and fabrication teams. You play an essential part in performing construction and fabrication plans and details, following design codes and governmental regulations, and creating drafting models using CADD and 3D Modeling software. You will help to identify and address potential issues promptly. In addition, as a drafting technician, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks. These could include aiding our engineering teams in preparing designs or construction plans in Civil 3D, drafting structural steel fabrication detailed plans, or preparing tank or process equipment designs in Inventor, SolidWorks, or other software.
