What You'll Be Doing:
Be engaged in engineering drainage and irrigation designs, hydraulic systems modeling, and drainage calculations, and have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by more experienced engineers
Review construction details, as well as erosion control drawings
Perform quantity calculations and produce/check engineering analytical data and related information to assure the design and any technical reports are accurate
Work will include horizontal & vertical alignment design, roadway 3D modeling, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, plan details, and detailed engineering analyses
Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable
Prepare standard engineering computations, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs
Prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials
Review small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses
Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:
Currently enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering curriculum (or related) from an accredited university
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Prior related internship experience is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office Tools
CAD proficiency (MicroStation preferred), and Drainage software familiarity (StormCAD, PondPak, HEC-RAS, etc.)
Prior transportation/infrastructure coursework preferred
