· Carry out daily inspections, greasing, fueling and safe machine operation duties.
· Set up machinery and ensure all ground conditions are safe, prior to any drilling / boring.
· Effectively monitor operation of equipment.
· Observe proper loading of equipment on any trailers.
· Assist labors, as necessary.
· Perform appropriate duties as assigned by the Foreman or Supervisor.
Educational & Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma required. Minimum three (3) years of operating various types of heavy equipment is preferred. (Backhoes, Excavators, Loaders, and Skid Steers.) Minimum five (5) years of operating or locating on various types of horizontal directional drilling equipment; Ditch Witch, Vermeer, American Auger is required. Must be knowledgeable drilling in various soil conditions and mixing drill mud. Experience working and drilling in the Utility / Energy industry. Valid Driver’s License is required.
