Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Driller's Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing, piping, trenching systems, construction, and landfill work. This role involves assembling and positioning machines, casing pipes, and other equipment using hand tools, operating controls to stabilize machines, and driving or guiding truck-mounted equipment into position.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble and position machines, casing pipes, and other equipment using hand tools.Drive or guide truck-mounted equipment into position, level and stabilize rigs, and extend derricks.Operate controls to stabilize machines and to position and align drills.Load drill rods onto drill carousel for the driller’s access during the drilling process.Dig mud pits for excreted drillings during the drilling process.Select and attach drill bits and drill rods, adding more rods as hole depths increase, and changing drill bits as needed.Record depths on work orders per the driller’s instructions.Record GPM (gallons per minute) on work orders per the driller’s instructions.Drive trucks or truck-mounted drills to and from work sites.Retrieve lost equipment from bore holes using retrieval tools and equipment.Disinfect new and old wells in preparation for use.Fabricate well casings.Use current online software program (currently Service Titan).Keep proper paperwork (vehicle mileage, daily report, well log).Essential Skills6+ months - 5+ years of driller's helper experienceExperience in plumbing, piping, trenching systems, construction, and landfill workOSHA Certifications 10, 30, 40Ability to assemble and position machines, casing pipes, and other equipmentAbility to operate controls to stabilize machines and position drillsExperience driving trucks or truck-mounted drillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsOSHA 40 - 8hr refresherConfined Space certificationDthe person clearanceEquipment experienceHardworkingAbility to work with a teamWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment typically involves being in the field for extended periods, working under heat and cold stress, and other adverse environmental conditions. Candidates must be capable of physical exertion, including lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary, and will work in all weather conditions. Hours are first shift with some weeks including overtime. Candidates will be the face of our company on client sites.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $29.00
