We are looking for an experienced Blast Hole Driller to join our Mining – Drill & Blast team at our Cowal (West Wyalong), NSW operations. This will be on going, long-term project work.

This is a full-time position. DIDO on a company supplied bus with accommodation available for those residing outside the West Wyalong area. Roster is 7:7 (days) – day shift and night shift.

The Role

To operate Drill Rigs safely and efficiently to ensure maximum output on a continuous basis and as a productive member of the team.

This role would ideally suit someone who has a positive attitude towards safety, training & environment. Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork.

 Key Responsibilities:

Operate hydraulic and pneumatic drill rigs as per OEM specifications Complete drill holes to high QA standards according to client requirements Assist Maintenance team with minor repairs Service drill rigs, ancillary equipment, and operate service trucks and LVs Maintain daily drilling data & drill pre-starts on paperless system using company supplied tablets. Ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are upheld; monitor drilling consumables.

The successful applicant will have:

C Class Drivers Licence (Manual) A working knowledge of Epiroc D65 equipment Experience drilling on blast hole rigs Experience on down hole hammer rigs Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment

Desirables

Heavy Rigid (HR) Drivers Licence Certificate III In Drilling Operations Mechanical aptitude Experience in RC drilling Local to West Wyalong and surrounding areas
