Pay Rate
The base pay for internships ranges between $19.50 - $32/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, whether the role is technical or non-technical and education level may impact the pay for this position.

Job Description
The Continuous Improvement Intern has a critical role in supporting the plants continuous improvement initiatives.
For the 2025 Summer the continuous improvement intern will be working on:
Support CI projects /tasks/ activities under guidance of Continuous Improvement Manager. Lead hands on problem solving utilizing Lean principles – 5S, 5WHY, Kaizen. Develop Process maps working cross functionally with other departments. Support Daily CI activities – Gemba, Employee suggestion program, Visual Daily Management. Participate in and lead teams/kaizens focused on problem solving and quality issues. Responsible for driving cycle time reduction, waste reduction, yield improvement, productivity, and throughput improvement. Prepare the necessary monthly reports for the key metrics of the department. Define corrective and preventive actions to improve processes. Conduct time studies, day in life to help creation of Leader Standard work.
Required Skills
Skills and experience necessary for this role include but are not limited to:
Understanding of cycle time studies. Knowledge of basic lean tools like 5S, 5 WHY, Fishbone, Kaizen, process map and visual daily management. Understanding of Process maps & how to create one. Proficient using excel & can perform data analysis. Proficient using MS visio to help create process maps. Understanding of Kaizen structure- how kaizens are conducted, how team forming is done, and how to plan for kaizen.
Required Experience
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline, Industrial Engineering preferred.
