Drive & Rotor Technician - MOS 15D
**Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking Drive & Rotor Technicians overhauling helicopter powertrain components. Military MOS 15D are encouraged to apply. Great opportunity with a leading heavy lift helo company, opportunities to grow into other roles, join field teams (with A&P), have a long career and retirement.** Pay details: Local: 28 to 32 Non-local: 19.25 taxed plus 166/day per diem up to 5 days (40 total compensation) Job Description: + Working in a bench repair and testing environment in the Drive and Rotor shop overhauling helicopter powertrain components, the Technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters. Two primary areas within the shop: Transmissions and Rotors. + Read and interpret maintenance manual, cleans and inspect drive & rotor components and parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment, replace or repair damaged or worn drive & rotor parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment. + Reassemble, test, and document inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in maintenance records + 5 x 8 schedule for several weeks to start (8am - 4:30pm), then will move to a 4 x 10 schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri **Skills:** rotor, repair, Aircraft maintenance, Troubleshooting, Aircraft engine, Engine maintenance, powertrain, maintenance, helicopter **Additional Skills & Qualifications:** Experience in servicing and repair of helicopter rotor heads and/or transmissions Experience in Boeing 107/CH46 or Boeing 234/CH47 transmission components and or rotor head components preferred Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred (Army MOS 15D) **Experience Level:** Intermediate Level **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
