Provides back up to our full-time driver as needed. **RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS** **:** This position holds no direct supervisory responsibility. **TRAVEL REQUIRED** **:** Local **SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:** + Drives Lighthouse bus/van daily from 12:00pm to 6:30pm to pick up employees at our remote parking lot and bring them to The Chicago Lighthouse main office building for work. + Provides back up to our full-time driver if any truck/bus/van trips are needed when full time driver is unavailable.; + Keep remote parking lot free of debris between shuttle trips. **SPECIFICATIONS:** + Valid CDL, Class "B" Illinois drivers' license with passenger endorsement and safe driving record required; + High school graduate, functionally literate, able to perform heavy lifting in excess of 50 lbs. as required; + Commitment to our mission of providing opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired is essential. **The Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired is an Equal Opportunity Employer in full compliance with local, state, and federal Civil Rights & Affirmative Action laws.
