Responsible for: safely, appropriately, and judiciously transporting customers from CHI locations to various community facilities.
Pay: $20.20 an hour- approx. $42,000 annually.
FLSA: Non-exempt. Eligible for overtime.
Schedule: 10am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday (off Sunday & Monday).
Location: Eastchester neighborhood Bronx, NY
JOB-RELATED DUTIES – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
These duties are essential and specific to the successful implementation of this position.
Transports customers to various locations specified on Transportation Request with Agency van. Schedules daily routes, prioritizing trips to HRA, Department of Labor, transfers to/from other shelters and housing appointments for customers. Maintains van in pristine condition, ensuring cleanliness inside and out. Monitors and schedules routine maintenance of van (inspections, oil changes, tire rotation, etc.) Reviews transportation requests with respective Supervisor. Maintains accurate documentation of runs, logging mileage and destinations. Adheres to proper use of company resources (cell phones, office supplies, vehicles, etc.). Must be able to multitask, be flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to details. Does not fraternize with customers; maintains a professional boundary. Drives within posted speed limits and ensures that all passengers wear required safety belts. Does not use cell phone or substances while driving.
