Altaquip, founded in 1997, has become one of the largest providers of commercial and consumer equipment service in the U.S. We offer services on a number of product categories, such small engine repair and outdoor power and lawn maintenance. Altaquip services over 100 manufacturer’s brands including Craftsman, Briggs & Stratton, Toro, Caterpillar, Husqvarna, Ariens, Generac, EGO, Greenworks and MTD, to name a few.

The Driver is the face of the company and must always project a professional and positive image of Altaquip while maintaining and building excellent customer relationships.  This individual is responsible for the safe operation of a motor vehicle and safely picking up and dropping off units at customer facilities so that the customer is given an excellent service experience.  This individual will also be required to maintain compliance with all company policies/procedures and DOT regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

Operate a company provided truck in an efficient/safe manner complying with company policy and DOT regulationsPick up and deliver units from stores to Service Center for repairs and return units once repairs are completedAccurately track all units via pickup and delivery logs, and obtain required sign offs on all unitsBuild and maintain relationships with the customerUtilize and comply with driver IT tools and administrative requirementsMaintain truck cleanliness/organizationMaintain truck compliance with DOT and company maintenance requirements

Other Responsibilities

Qualifications

Record of safe vehicle operation/clean driving recordPrevious experience in a similar role is preferredAbility to read and write the English languageValid U.S. Drivers’ License

Working Conditions

Trucks will be loaded/unloaded in a shop environment or on a dock when loading/unloading from a customer locationMajority of working hours will be spent driving a box truckThe ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis is required

Target pay range is $20.00 to $22.00/hour.
