This position is open due to the busy peak season approaching. The role involves the delivery, installation, and pick-up of portable AC units daily. The position may become permanent after the contract period.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver, install, and pick up portable AC units daily.Drive a 14\" or 16\" box truck to various client locations such as offices, retail spaces, or warehouses.Respond to client calls for pick-up or installation of portable AC units.Drive around areas including East Bay, Monterey, Sacramento, and Stockton.Run portable ductwork into the ceiling at the client site and turn on the AC.Use basic hand tools for installations and maintenance.Essential SkillsOne plus year of experience driving bobtail or box trucks.Proven ability to provide excellent customer service.Flexibility with schedule, including availability for on-call shifts during the busy season.Clean DMV record.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or community college attendee with some business acumen.HVAC experience is a big plus.Experience with equipment rental (e.g., Herc Rentals, United Rentals) is highly desirable.Experience as a past driver for UPS, DHL, or FedEx would be a huge plus.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team where your skills are valued and your growth is supported. Work Environment
80% of the day will be spent on the road, operating independently after initial training. 15% of the time will be spent in the warehouse, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the truck, documenting inventory, and ensuring the truck is stocked with necessary items for installs.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00
