Job Summary

The Class A Driver is responsible for transporting hazardous waste from generator sites or facilities to company locations or external disposal facilities. This position ensures strict adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT), hazardous materials (HAZMAT), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.

Essential Functions

Transport Hazardous Waste (60%)
Safely transport hazardous waste using tankers, vans, or roll-off dump trailers. Maintain compliance with DOT and HAZMAT regulations and coordinate daily schedules with dispatchers to minimize delays. Load and Unload Materials (10%)
Properly load and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring correct segregation, weight limits, and equipment usage. Vehicle Placarding (10%)
Ensure proper placarding of vehicles in compliance with DOT and company requirements. Maintain Documentation (10%)
Accurately complete daily logs, trip reports, vehicle inspection reports, timecards, expense reports, and other required documentation. Equipment Maintenance (10%)
Maintain, clean, and inspect assigned equipment to ensure it remains in excellent working condition.
