Driver Coordinator
Job Title: Driver Coordinator Job Description As a Driver Coordinator, you will be responsible for teaching driving curriculum, which includes understeer, oversteer, and fail systems such as Correction Pause Response and how to control a car out of control. Your workweek consists of classes and driving tests from Monday to Friday, with Wednesdays dedicated to vehicle maintenance. You will collaborate with Technician and Mechanic Specialists on suspension issues and support the Drivers Training program, including trailer maintenance, safety equipment management, travel toolbox inventory, and certification record keeping. Additionally, you will assist the Application Engineering teams with precision/performance driving vehicle testing and perform brake tests according to defined OEM procedures. Your role also includes preparing vehicles for testing, supporting the transportation of prototype vehicles between locations, and providing driver/test support at off-site locations. Travel to off-site locations for up to 8 weeks a year, particularly during the winter months, is required. Hard Skills + Active Driving Credentials Teaching from OEM (level 3 GM, tier 2 Ford, Nissan) + Instrumentation Experience + Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook + Experience in Driver Training from OEM driver training program or similar + Diploma or GED Soft Skills + Excellent communication skills + Strong customer service skills Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 2 Year(s). Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Flat Rock, Michigan. Work Environment The position is based at the Race Center in Flat Rock and involves a classroom setting. Travel to remote sites, especially during November to March for Winter Test support, is required. Willingness to work overtime per business needs, including seasonal support, is necessary.
