JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Driver Manager
Department:Operations
Location: Greeley, CO
Reports to: Specialized Unit Manager
Principle Responsibilities:
Coordinate the utilization of the JBS short haul trucks in relation to the daily schedule. Manage loads to ensure equipment and drivers are fully utilized. Coordinate with corporate and plant personnel daily.Coordinate all load information with the plants, rail yard and feed yardsMonitor activities to ensure 100% compliance with all safety policies and regulatory agencies. Enter data information into computer and verify accuracy daily.Coordinate with shop in regards to available equipment and maintenance issues.Keep JBS equipment loaded within legal weight standards.Coach Drivers with regards to safety compliance/give verbal and written warnings where needed and coordinate with the safety team.Manage daily drive cam events. Coach/Clear Out.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must have working knowledge and understanding of computers including Word, Excel etc.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written.Needs to be creative and willing to change as circumstances dictate. Work well under pressure.Must have the ability to modify/change systems to continually improve the overall operations.Must have good working relationship with drivers, be a team player, dependable, and reliable.Experience in the transportation industry is required. Experience in the livestock transportation industry is a plusTMW knowledge is beneficial.Knowledge in the area of truck maintenance is helpful.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
