Mobile Fleet Driver supports Community Based Programs’ success by safely and accurately transporting materials, patients, and/or employees in accordance with program needs. A high degree of accountability is required to provide excellent outcomes for underserved communities. Mobile Fleet Driver may be required to facilitate the flow of products from suppliers to our local warehouse as needed, but no less than weekly, and to market/event locations throughout South Jersey. Works closely with department leadership, other staff within and across other departments in a team environment to achieve program goals. Mobile Fleet Driver is responsible for maintaining vehicle maintenance schedules and ensuring all necessary inspections, licensure, and repairs are reported and completed in a timely manner and as necessary for continued operations.
Support operations through the successful implementation of established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
Transports materials, patients, or employees in accordance with program needs.
Provides the highest level of customer service, striving to maintain the dignity and confidentiality of patients/visitors to community-based programs and to be mindful of our impact on their health and well-being. Perpetuates a good working relationship with and assists patients and/or customers on and off the vehicle as needed. Loads and unloads materials as required.
Recognizes and triages any visitor concerns or problems to the appropriate staff.
Drives the vehicle safely at all times and maintains a clean driving record.
Ability to create the best possible schedules and route for meeting department objectives.
Responsible for overall maintenance schedule which includes, but is not limited to, scheduling vehicle(s) for routine service, delivering vehicle(s) to maintenance/repair sites, vehicle(s) cleaning schedule and acts as liaison to department leadership regarding any vehicle malfunctions.
Performs daily vehicle inspections (pre and post trip) to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working order.
Maintains and updates the Courier log, and any associated paperwork, to ensure all proper vehicle records are maintained.
Performs other duties as assigned which could include, but are not limited to, basic office duties and transporting goods between departments or programs.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience:
3-5 years driving experience.
Required Education:
High School degree or equivalent
Training / Certification / Licensure:
Driver’s License Abstract must meet Virtua Health’s insurance carrier standards.
Defensive driving course preferred.
Class A or B CDL with appropriate endorsements required.
CPR Certification required as per program.
