Driver\/Recovery Specialist

At Independence Hall, we provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. We are seeking passionate and innovative individuals to join our behavioral health programming.\n

We are looking for innovative staff for our licensed Substance Abuse Treatment programs, which are open to both veterans and the community. Our programs provide client-centered care and recovery-oriented treatment within a therapeutic environment. \n

We are currently hiring a full time Driver\/Recovery Specialist, responsible for the effective and efficient transportation of our patients at our Shrewsbury location. This position will also provide assistance to our treatment team, providing guidance and counseling support as needed.\n

This position is Friday-Monday, 7am-5pm.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:\n\nSafely shuttle patients to various destinations, following all traffic laws to ensure the safest possible operation of our vehicles.\nClean vehicles, notify management of any maintenance, mechanical problems, and inspections that are needed.\nKeep a timely shuttle route\nOversees client activities to ensure compliance with program activities and agency policies. Provides guidance as needed.\nProvides crisis intervention and able to follow specific procedures in emergency situations.\nAttends and participates in all meetings and maintains audit-ready patient records and program-specific forms in a timely manner, as required. \nCompletes individually assigned program-specific duties and\/or responsibilities as assigned.\n\n

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:\n\nValid Class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing\nMinimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Associates degree, LADCII, or LADC Assistant highly preferred.\n2+ Years experience or education in substance abuse treatment and mental health disorders required.\nMAP, Narcan, or CPI training and certifications are strongly preferred.\nMust be able to successfully pass a CORI\/Background records and Motor Vehicle Records checks\nCompliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.\n\n
