We are seeking a Drop Bury Supervisor to join our team in Madison, WI. In this role, you will lead and perform field operations, ensuring high-quality underground utility construction while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Lead in-house and subcontractor crews performing underground telecommunications installations, including drop bury and service line constructionTravel to job sites within market territoryTrain and develop crew members, provide ongoing performance evaluation and constructive feedbackManage crew schedules and time-off requestsCoordinate with locating services to ensure proper utility marking before excavationAssess ground conditions and site challenges before beginning projectsMake real-time decisions about equipment needs and crew assignmentsVerify proper depth, cable placement, and conduit installation methodsEnsure proper restoration of excavated areas to meet customer and municipal requirementsConduct daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with company safety standards and industry regulationsMonitor crew compliance with PPE requirementsPerform quality control inspections of completed work to ensure installations meet company and industry standardsPerform regular equipment and tool inspectionsInterface with property owners, local utilities, and municipal authorities as neededTrack project progress and maintain accurate documentation using company software systemsRespond to and resolve field challenges while keeping projects on schedule Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in telecommunications drop bury operationsPrevious supervisory experience in utility construction or related fieldStrong understanding of underground utility construction practices and safety protocolsBasic computer proficiency with ability to use email, digital documentation systems, and company softwareAbility to travel up to 75% within market; driving 2-6 hours with some overnight staysPhysical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrainExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsValid driver’s licensePassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
