DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Drug & Alcohol (D&A) Prevention Program Specialist will perform various task under the supervision of the D&A Administrator 1 including formulating a comprehensive plan for prevention services in the county. You will have the opportunity to work closely with community organizations. This includes providing technical assistance, guiding their organizing efforts, and channeling their activities in specific directions in order to integrate their program with the overall county drug and alcohol program. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment. + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. + Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. + You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: + One year experience as a Drug and Alcohol Prevention Specialist; or + A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Education, or the Social or Social or Behavioral Sciences and two years of progressively responsible experience in drug and alcohol prevention activities; or + Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
