Drug Manufacturing Technician
**Job Title: Drug Manufacturing Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a diligent Drug Manufacturing Technician to join our team. The role involves handling and processing laboratory specimens in a secure and confidential manner, adhering to various regulatory guidelines. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a climate-controlled and refrigerated environment. **Responsibilities** + Remove presumptive positives, aliquot for confirmation, and arrange aliquots in order + Store positive samples in refrigerator/freezer area + Remove positive samples from freezer for re-aliquot + Receive and open specimens delivered to the laboratory for analysis + Review and document acceptability of specimen and chain of custody forms + Destroy specimens as needed + Clean and maintain work area daily + Adhere to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information + Comply with company policy **Essential Skills** + Basic ability to use a computer + Basic understanding of laboratory techniques and procedures + Basic communication skills + Advanced understanding of certification requirements for SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, and other regulatory bodies + Basic understanding of the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds + Full body movement capability + Corrected vision and hearing to meet minimum acceptable norms + Ability to cope with stress due to production obligations + Ability to read and comprehend SOP, Federal (49 CFR Part 40), and CAP-FUDT guidelines + Ability to communicate with other employees and supervisors + Ability to provide input and recommendations on operations **Why Work Here?** Join our team and benefit from a welcoming company culture with opportunities for professional growth. Hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half. You will work in a climate-controlled office and testing laboratory environment, with duties requiring work in refrigerated and 20-degree freezer areas for storing and removing samples. The role may involve climbing stairs and potential exposure to toxic or hazardous materials. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
