My client, a finanical institution in Washington DC, has a 6+ month contract opportuntity for a Drupal/PHP Developer. The Drupal team works closely with the client's communications unit to provide the world with timely information. They serve as a symbol of the institution’s transparency and willingness to work with clients and partners around the world. We need a talented individual with the ability to wear many hats to become a core part of our Drupal team.
Essential Job Functions:Create custom Drupal sites with features for blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, collaborations, etc.Write custom APIs using PHP to retrieve data from institutional sourcesDevelop good quality code using PHP, HTML, DHTML, CSS, etc.Install and maintain server productsDevelop code to integrate various sourcesReview and have an understanding of institutional data marts and develop APIs to retrieve dataDrupal sites creation with blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds, collaborations featuresCreate a fully-functional website based on technical specificationsProvide documentation of work in the project.Educational Qualifications and Experience:Education: Bachelor’ degree in Computer Science or related fieldRole Specific Experience: 5+ years of experience in web design or development servicesExperience in building and maintaining Drupal sitesExperience with producing standards compliant Drupal themes from creative designs and style guidesExperience with developing custom Drupal modulesExperience with systems administration and server maintenance.Certification Requirements: None specifiedRequired Skills/Abilities:Advanced knowledge of OracleAdvanced understanding of web trends, including social media integration and the impact of the growth of mobile/tablet browsingAdvanced knowledge of HTML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHPDemonstrated ability to use rapid application development methodologies and techniques to deploy applications quickly and accuratelyAbility to work independently on the assigned tasks in a timely and efficient mannerSelf-motivated with the ability to work on multiple tasksExcellent analytical skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.
