**Job Description:**
Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! **General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT)** is seeking a **Data Architect** to support the **DTRA I3TS** program at **Ft. Belvoir, VA.**
This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
**In this role you will:**
Use your extensive technical expertise to design data architecture solutions for Service Oriented Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, virtualization, big data analytics, and cloud computing. You’ll resolve routine data architecture issues in collaboration with business analysts and technology teams by working with project staff to make decisions and recommendations on future data architecture developments.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ **MS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree**
+ **10 years of experience** developing and implementing overall organization data strategy in line with business processes and objectives
+ Experience identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management in line with the data strategy
+ Experience examining and identifying database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming
+ Ability to evaluate data storage requirements and prepare and implement data backup, recovery, and secondary data storage and disaster recovery
+ **TS/SCI**

The likely salary range for this position is $128,666 - $174,078. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
