Job Description:

Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. The DTRA I3TS program is seeking an IT Asset Manager to join their team! Based at Ft Belvoir, VA, this new program is an exciting way to launch your career further than ever!

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Typical Duties Include:

Provides logistics technology for effective and efficient support of products, equipment, system manufacturing, or services.Recommends and establishes an effective technology life cycle that spans from IT asset selection, operation, refresh, migration, and optimization to the retirement and disposal of the asset.Monitors and optimizes IT asset utilization through established methods and procedures.Forecasts IT asset demand and planning for increases and decreases in demand, including asset refresh schedules and software renewal cycles.Manages SOPs for verifying and auditing the accuracy and completeness of the system of record and Asset Refresh Schedule for each device classification and purchase classification in accordance with the Government-approved process and policies.Reviews contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements, such as staffing needs and safety or maintenance plans.Designs and analyzes the logistics processes and operational solutions used in distributing those goods and services; advises management on logistics topics; and proposes logistics solutions.Develops the most streamlined, efficient method of product distribution possible.Handles inventory, processes orders, and helps design product packaging to maximize shipping efficiency.May direct the work of Logistics Analysts

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree5+ years of experience managing assets in an IT environmentExperience with logistics and asset managementExperience with Hardware and Software product licensing, renewal, and supportTS/SCI

Desired Qualifications:

Supply Chain Certification, such as Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) and/or Certified Professional Logistician (CPL)

The likely salary range for this position is $97,063 - $131,321. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
