Job Description:

Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Network Architect to support the DTRA I3TS program at Ft. Belvoir, VA.

This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide Network strategy, design and buildout services workstations, servers, and infrastructure to ensure that operability requirements are up to dateProvide Network strategy design and buildout services for current and emerging technologiesProvide high level Network design and architecture to support a global network.Provide expert level knowledge and skills in design and implementation of Software Defined Network (SDN) including SD-WAN, SD-LAN,Develop and maintain enterprise Network architecture and infrastructure including installation, test, upgrades, and other required maintenanceExpert level knowledge of design, implementation, and support of CONUS and OCONUS network including circuits and transport protocols including MPLS, DWDM, etcExperience in support of switched and routed network including OSPF and BGP routing protocolsKnowledge of network security devices including IDS/IPS, Firewalls, network Proxys, etcParticipates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.

Basic Qualifications:

BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree10+ years of directly related experience in network administration and support.Proficient in Firewall installation, configuration, and maintenance, to include ACL creation and editing on a multi-domain multi-site infrastructureExperience with data networks, VOIP, network design, and SDNSecurity+, Network+ and CCNATS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $128,666 - $174,078. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
