The Opportunity:

As a CACI DTRA SOF Operations Planner, you will provide embedded and provide reach back support to SOF units involved in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD). You and your team will work to identify, characterize, and counter WMD and the networks that aim to employ these weapons. You will conduct temporary duty (TDY) to embed with and advise National Mission Force and Interagency Partners at all echelons of command. You will utilize Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAI’s) to identify pathways that illuminate adversary WMD activities, intentions, and vulnerabilities. These OAI’s are executed by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and its partners to identify, characterize, and counter threat use of WMD. When providing CWMD reach back support, you will serve as an expert in operational planning and design. You will enable DoD and interagency partners to hold threat actors at risk in support of Integrated Deterrence. You will support embedded teammates; answer requests for support from other mission partners (COCOMs, Special Operations Commands, and Interagency elements); and work closely with a wide variety of units, institutions, and customers.

Responsibilities:

As an SOF Operations Planner, you will support three lines of effort (LOE): A) Campaigning, B) Crisis Response, and C) Exercise Integration. Planners will conduct planning and provide technical advice on CWMD specialized tasks that include: Dissuade, deter, delay, disrupt, destroy, deny, and assure. Planners are proficient in national level concept plans (CONPLANs) for Crisis Response and the timelines for employment of a National Forces response. Planner’s will deploy TDY to Combatant Command Headquarters for the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) planning events. They contribute to a team that designs the concept, scripts the scenario, and writes injects that meet DTRA objectives. The intent is to achieve interoperability with Interagency and highlight how DTRA comes together with these organizations to support the Combatant Command. You will assist with community of interest engagement, conduct professional development within the CACI-Wexford Operational Analysis Team, and mentor new members of the team to ensure they are ready to meet client requirements.

Qualifications:

Required: 

Current Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Clearance.Experience planning and supporting operations at a Combatant Command, Theater Special Operations Command, The Joint Special Operations Command, a CJSOTF, a Regional Task Force (RTF) or other equivalent joint formation. Experience and in-depth knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), to include mission analysis, Course of Action (COA) development and Concepts of Operations (CONOP) approval briefings, targeting methodologies, CONOP documents and FRAGOs.The ability to rapidly learn technical aspects of CWMD policy and operations assuming expertise in other areas such as authorities associated with CONPLANs, OPLANS, and EXORDS.Experience working in Cross Functional Teams, Operational Planning Teams, and other groups that aim to bring disparate capabilities together to achieve military effects. You must possess the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft office tools to include SharePoint and OneNote.You will be able to provide daily feedback to the team lead and supported unit on product development.

Desired: 

A practical understanding of the National Defense Strategy that directs Integrated Deterrence and that aligns EXORDS, CONPLANS, and OPLANS. A practical understanding of how the DTRA Charter and Campaign Plans support Integrated Deterrence.Two years of experience providing operational support to one or more Special Operations Forces (SOF) commands.Experience working with SOF, SMU, Special or Technical Units of Federal Law Enforcement.Working knowledge of USSOCOM, Interagency, and the DOD enterprise.Experience in counter proliferation, pathway defeat, counter facilitation, counter-threat finance, or supply chain analysis.Understanding of JP 3-40.Understanding of SOCOM’s role as the CWMD coordinating authority for the Department of Defense.Bachelor’s degree and more than three years of experience, or an associate degree and five years of experience, or seven years of relevant work experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
