Due Diligence Consultant
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Customer Onboarding Due Diligence Consultant as part of Client Onboarding within Financial Crimes Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com (https://www.wellsfargojobs.com/career-areas/) . **In this role, you will:** + Own client onboarding process to mitigate risk through a due diligence process + Participate in conducting less complex client due diligence processes, research and identify opportunities to mitigate risk + Consult and provide support to interpret policies, guidelines and governance programs + Support business in execution of due diligence reporting processes and controls + Review and analyze client onboarding processes or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives + Exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables + Aggregate, evaluate and report results and escalate where necessary + Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the due diligence function, policies, procedures and compliance requirements + Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers and internal and external customers to resolve issues and achieve goals + Mitigate risk by achieving quality assurance and quality control targets for customer onboarding BSA/AML due diligence + Conduct end-to-end customer due diligence from initial customer outreach through Financial Crimes Onboarding approval, while identifying and mitigating risks during the process + Perform complete review of all documents provided by internal partners and clients for completeness and accuracy as well as confirming it aligns with policy and program guidelines for BSA/AML + Navigate and interpret policies, procedures, and guidance documents as well as supporting business in the execution of due diligence processes and controls + Review and analyze client onboarding requests for discrepancies that require additional research, evaluation, and credible challenge + Exercise independent judgment to guide your review of moderate to medium risk requests and, when necessary, elevate heighten risk to appropriate channels + Independently manage individual pipeline to meet established onboarding cycle times and service level agreements + Understand and align to strategic direction of BSA/AML Officer and the Strategic Execution Office (SEO) **Required Qualifications:** + 2+ years of Due Diligence experience, or equivalent (including risk management, client service, operations support, or business process management) demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + Experience with the client onboarding process + Experience analyzing applicable policies and procedures to ensure information integrity + Experience analyzing and reviewing formation documentation including LLC, Trusts, and Beneficial Ownership + Experience with pipeline management + BSA/AML experience + Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications to research and identify current business documentation and procedures + Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy + Operates independently with minimal supervision, and effectively manages work requests to meet performance expectations + Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of customers, team members and management + Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner + Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner + Ability to prioritize tasks, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment + Intermediate Microsoft Office skills **Job Expectations:** + This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. + This position offers a hybrid work schedule. **Location:** + 1150 W Washington St Tempe, AZ 85288 **Posting End Date:** 27 Jan 2025 **_*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants._** **We Value Diversity** At Wells Fargo, we believe in diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace; accordingly, we welcome applications for employment from all qualified candidates, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, individuals with disabilities, pregnancy, marital status, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable law.
