We have an exciting opportunity for a Dust Monitor Project Manager to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.\n
The Dust Monitor Project Manager will:\n\nPerform project management for an HLS dust monitor feasibility assessment\nManage the overall efforts related to systems engineering, project engineering, test engineering and logistics engineering\nManage the project team and their activities\nProvide budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating support\nMonitor cost performance for the project against the established plan\nDevelop and maintain financial reports\nDevelop and manage project schedule\nOversee the development of procedures, work instructions and process flows\nManage project risks and opportunities and ensure that a structured risk and opportunity process is followed\nAssess how program level changes impact project requirements and execution\nInterface frequently with inter-organizational disciplines, NASA personnel, and vendors\nWork with the lead systems engineer to meet technical and performance goals\nPerform other duties as required\u200b\n\n \n
Requisition Qualifications:\n

License and certification may be required.\nExperience managing and leading engineering projects\nExperience with financial reporting, including budgeting, forecasting and cost estimating\nExcellent oral and written communication skills and will be expected to effectively interact with customers and management at all levels\nAbility to coordinate support from a wide range of technical disciplines\nAbility to work independently and autonomously and track tasks and issues to completion\nKnowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, such as mechanical and electrical system design, engineering drawings and sketches, material selection, environmental testing, and office software\u200b\n\n
Requisition Preferences:\n\n\u200bBS degree in engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of fourteen (14) years of direct engineering experience, or a MS degree from an accredited engineering school and twelve (12) years of direct engineering experience, or Ph.D. degrees and nine (9) years direct engineering experience\nFamiliar with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures\nPrior experience working in a system development project\/program \n
