Stoneridge Software is looking for a highly motivated, honest, and passionate Dynamics 365 Business Central Principal Developer. The Dynamics 365 Business Central Principal Developer will be responsible for providing guidance on Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Dynamics 365 Business Central infrastructure (cloud and on-prem), database, environment management, and system administration to support the business processes, applications, and integrations for our clients.A Day in the LifeModifying or creating pages, reports, tables or custom logic in C/AL, AL, and Extensions according to requirementsArchitect and develop or troubleshoot integrations between Dynamics platform and other systems to meet client requirementsDocument features developed Work with functional consultants to understand business process and client requirements Relay status updates as needed to project managers and other team members Write blogs on architecture and development topics to contribute to the Stoneridge blogProvide architecture/technical guidance to customer and project teamsProvide technical guidance and estimates to Client Success Manager or Functional ConsultantWork with Functional Consultant to identify key test scenariosAssist Functional Consultants with technical questions related to gathering, defining, and documenting requirements Mentor and train team membersIdentify client business processes in need of development work and document proposed solutionsPerform code reviews for team members and be open to feedback received in code reviewsTroubleshoot errors and performance-related issuesMaintain strong knowledge of industry trends, advancements in technology, and Microsoft’s product offerings and enhancementsPeriodically lead technical design and architecture sessions with clients and project team to gather and document project requirements for integrations, migrations, reporting and customizations for small to medium clientsSupport Functional Consultants in translating business requirements into technical documentationDebug error messagesTroubleshoot unexpected results based on customizationsReview and troubleshoot code of previous DevelopersMeet with previous implementation Developers to transition knowledgeFoster and champion psychological safety and a positive team environment
Preferred Qualifications8+ years of development experience 1-5+ Years in Microsoft D365 Business Central implementationsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science or related field or related experienceCertifications in Dynamics platformAdvanced understanding of the Dynamics platform data structuresAdvanced understanding of Dynamics platform functionalityAdvanced understanding of version control toolsFamiliarity across Power Platform and ERP PlatformExperience with Visual StudioExperience with reporting toolsExperience with multiple versions of the productBroad experience across application modulesExperience with many different clients and projectsExperience building APIs Experience in the Azure stackAbility to alternately work independently and in a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English *Years of experience are not required to be consecutive Work Location: This position is available on a REMOTE basis in the United States or REMOTE in Canada (Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan). Travel Required: Incumbent is expected to regularly meet with client teams across the United States and Canada will be asked to attend industry events from time to time.

CompensationOur philosophy is to provide compensation that is Competitive, Equitable, and Driven by Performance. Various factors impact our pay ranges including market conditions and national salary data. To determine competitive salaries within this range we consider candidates skills, qualifications, and experience. These are national ranges, inclusive of bonus opportunities and could represent multiple role levels. US (USD): $115,000 - $170,000Canada (CAD): C$145,000 - C$190,000
