Primary objectives of the electric dynamometer test technician are to conduct engine durability and performance testing. Testing involves initial setup of engine and testing equipment, collection of data, performing periodic checks during the test, and engine teardown post-test.
· Fabricate basic fixtures.
· Interface with Technologists, Product Engineers, and Supervisors on updates/new test procedures, equipment and methods.
· Verify the calibration and maintenance of test equipment and test systems.
Install engines on dynamometer, hook up instrumentation, hook up exhaust, diagnose / troubleshoot problems with engine or data equipment, conduct tests, change engine parts (setup or teardown), and remove engine and instrumentation.

Engine experience, working knowledge of a 4-stroke engine (Gas or Diesel) be able to identify engine parts and how they work. Understand engine designs, engine part changes, follow torque specs General hand tool experience for engine build and part changes Detail orientated and organized (verbal and written) Follow directions from multiple sources Good housekeeping of work area and equipment Valid drivers’ license.Preferred
Working towards an associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field Teardown/Build experience of Gasoline and Diesel engine.
