Position Details Location Hattiesburg 118 College Drive Hattiesburg, Mississippi, 39406-0001 United States Division School of Speech and Hearing Sciences Position Type Staff Employment Status Part Time Grant Funded No Posting Close Date July 15, 2024 Job Summary This position provides instruction in the DuBard Association Method® and completes supervision for dyslexia therapy students completing practicum requirements as part of their degree requirements. Primary Duties and Responsibilities + Supervises practicum for students in the dyslexia therapy program. + Assists professional development coordinator in managing coursework and practicum supervision for dyslexia therapy graduate students. + Provides instruction in the DuBard Association Method® to graduate students and professionals. + Represents the DuBard Association Method® and the Master of Education degree in Dyslexia Therapy as needed at professional meetings and conferences. + Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree and three years experience using the DuBard Association Method®, MS Educator Licensure Knowledge, Skills & Abilities + Utilizes fax machine, PC, Word, Excel, FileMaker database, ImageNow, Internet, photocopy machine, and telephone. + Excellent communication, both oral and written, and interpersonal skills for dealing with students, parents, staff, persons inquiring about services, and other University personnel and departments. + Excellent record keeping skills as well as careful attention to details. + Demonstrates initiative to learn new skills and maintain thorough knowledge of techniques, procedures and equipment pertaining to the job.
