E&C Engineer II

We are searching for E&C Engineer II on behalf of our client.   This is 12-month contract assignment.  This role is an entry level engineering position. The person will be performing engineering reviews of  mainly renewable energy projects within the team. This role will  offer a broad range of exposure to all the different renewable energy technologies, as  well as exposure and ability to gain experience in different potential career paths.

This is an opportunity to work in Wind, Solar, renewable energy.  Possible for extension.  

 

Location:  Minneapolis MN or Denver CO

This is a hybrid position (3 days a week onsite)

 

Responsibilities

 

Reviewing the  early-stage development of projects, doing due diligence using our due diligence checklist, in addition to reviewing submittals from either developers or self-developed projects and also reviewing those engineering work tasks, task follow up questions and updating documentation. Reviewing submittals and updating trackers, requesting additional information from developers using either qualitative or quantitative responses to then update estimates for projects. Will be working collaboratively with engineering staff and project managers in Denver and Minneapolis, in all 3 regions. The person will be working with the project managers on the engineering work scope that they need reviewed under the direction of either a senior or principal engineer within the group. Work is distributed between all three regions, however, currently we have the engineering staff in both Denver and Minneapolis. The person would be working with counterparts in all three regions because some of the project managers are also in in Texas. Responsible for reviewing to economically evaluate projects since this is in the very early stage.

 

Requirements       

Bachelor of Science and engineering, preference for civil/electrical engineering with additional preference for renewable specific but open to other disciplines. Must have at least 2-5 years of experience, would potentially go less for a candidate out of school with a degree and internship experience. SharePoint, previous knowledge in/with PVSYST and/or OpenWind. Other external sites may be used when working with external developers. Must have the ability to use and take qualitative responses and translate them into quantitative responses to define a value associated with them. Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
