Bunzl Processor Division (BPD) is seeking an E-Commerce Analyst to provide analysis of revenue, margin, and competitor activity to develop optimal pricing for various product categories and customer market segments for our website, catalog, and various marketing material. The Analyst will be responsible for creating resell price of certain categories and marketplace channel pricing. This person will also provide various reporting on key metrics for the website and provide results reporting on various marketing campaigns. Responsibilities will also include conducting market research and intelligence gathering in order to maintain a competitive pricing database and monitor changes in the marketplace and their impact on new and existing products.
Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and provide recommendations on item-by-item sell price and margin gains across various product categories for list price online along with sale pricing for various marketing publications. Strategic engagement with Sales and Category Management to develop and implement pricing initiatives and maintain margin goals. Monitor competitive market to ensure pricing stays in line with trends in the marketplace. Leverage market intelligence to validate and benchmark competitive pricing. Create pricing strategy for select categories and how to best grow margin. Help to ensure our private brands have advertised pricing in line with competitor’s product offering. Follow and communicate product pricing policies to improve product positioning while improving margin. Manage projects and initiatives within select categories, demonstrate the ability to meet defined timelines and provide proactive status communication to business partners. Support E-Commerce and Marketing teams in various reporting on sales, profit and revenue. Identify, learn, and communicate new products our competitors are offering on their websites and assist in identifying those products BPD should also be offering.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required E-Commerce experience required Experience in a sales-driven distribution environment strongly preferred Microsoft Excel, Word and Power BI competency required Strong business and financial acumen Solid knowledge of marketing and sales principles Knowledge of the distribution environment, supplier selection and qualification Product knowledge across multiple industries strongly preferred Solutions-oriented focus; outstanding problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills AS400 experience a plus A strong relationship builder who can foster excellent relationships and gain credibility quickly, effectively working with all levels in a global matrix organization Must be process-driven; continuously searching for ways to improve quality, accuracy, speed of response and departmental efficiency
