The Electrical Technician position is a mid-level position that is responsible for acting in a safe manner, while leading electrical projects, assisting with project management and providing technical/electrical support and repairs to the various machinery found in the production areas and the equipment that is found within the building and systems.

Follow all Berry safety and environmental policies and proceduresFollow OSHA rules and regulationsMonitor quality of product; inspects bottles for defects, inspects boxes for damage and properly follows customer pack patternsCommunicates and cooperates with other employees in a positive and constructive manner to achieve the Goals of the Department and the PlantAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines; wear protective clothing, long-sleeved shirt, jeans or slacks, hair net, latex gloves and practices good hygiene Willing and able to work overtime when neededIdentify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnelEffectively respond in an Emergency Situation such as Fire, and Accident and direct the activities of othersFollow all Department Procedures and Directives

 

 

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Assist with building and programming on new and rebuilt equipmentFollow mechanical and electrical printsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipmentApply progressive Continuous Improvement practices such as 6S, etc.Increase customer satisfaction by assisting production to reduce cost and lead-time while improving quality and serviceProvide support and guidance for Quality to develop procedures and work instructions for Corrective and Preventive ActionsDevelop Training resources to train and motivate employees in the use and implementation of electrical troubleshooting principlesknowledge concerning all electrical principles, blue prints, AC and DC motor controls, VFDs and troubleshooting all electrical problems down to component level to make necessary repairs Provides timely repairs, upkeep and preventative maintenanceInsures that adequate repair parts are stockedUses MRO system for removing and returning parts from inventoryMakes recommendations for equipment improvementsAssists with set-ups, start-ups, and quality qualificationsStrives for continuous improvement of equipmentServes as an example for housekeeping and safety standards;Insures that scheduled PMs are performed and recorded per the Service Work OrderResponsible for entering all Work Order Requests into automated tracking systemResponsible for accurate recordkeeping and reporting of Work Order Request informationResponsible for trouble shooting molding process-making adjustments to the machine, auxiliary equipment, to produce quality partsResponsible for troubleshooting auxiliary equipment-making sure all equipment is functioning properly to produce quality parts. Visually inspect work areas, equipment safety guards, employees' safety, assist with eliminating all safety hazardsReduce waste and drive best practices across the organizationAll other duties as assigned Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician3+ years of experience around maintenance mechanical 1+ years of experience participating in Continuous Improvement projectsMust have the ability to multi-taskMust be able to pass a background check and drug testMust be able to monitor quality of machine output Capable of lifting (up to 35 pounds)Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms Must be able to follow all department procedures and directivesMust be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
