**Job Title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech)** **Job Description** This position is for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (E&I Tech) in a Heavy Industrial facility that produces chemicals for other industrial companies. You will handle the Electrical and Instrumentation for automated and heavy machinery throughout the plant, including the operation of Distributive Control Systems (DCS) with electronic components, valves, switches, pumps, and pneumatic systems. **Responsibilities** + Ensure proper operation of all control system components including electronic components, valves, switches, and Distributive Control Systems (DCS). + Perform measuring and testing using ammeters, voltmeters, transducers, and calibration devices to install equipment or replace/repair existing components. + Inspect, test, and calibrate meters, indicators, and gauges such as flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and controllers. + Troubleshoot instrumentation transmitter problems from the transmitter, the control loop, and the PLC hardware where the device's output is read by the PLC. + Troubleshoot field control wiring from 120 VAC, 24 VDC, to millivolts and milliamps. + Proficiently use Rockwell software including RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLinx, RSView Enterprise, and FactoryTalk View Studio site edition network distributed. + Understand and troubleshoot inverters and converters. + Configure and troubleshoot all site AC inverters including 1336, 1336 Plus, PowerFlex 4, PowerFlex 40, PowerFlex 525, PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 700, and PowerFlex 750 series. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience as an E&I Tech dealing with Distributive Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs. + Proficiency in Rockwell software including RSLogix 5000, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLinx, RSView Enterprise, and FactoryTalk View Studio site edition network distributed. + Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation transmitter problems and field control wiring. + Experience with inspecting, testing, and calibrating meters, indicators, and gauges. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Understanding and troubleshooting of inverters and converters. + Experience with configuring all site AC inverters such as 1336, 1336 Plus, PowerFlex 4, PowerFlex 40, PowerFlex 525, PowerFlex 70, PowerFlex 700, and PowerFlex 750 series. **Why Work Here?** Join a stable company with a 40-year history in a reliable industry. The shift is Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, South Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
