**Job Title: E/I Technician**
**Job Description**
As an E/I Technician, you will perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of premature failures, offer solutions, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. You will utilize work processes and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document findings and initiate corrective actions. Additionally, you will participate in reliability-focused design changes that reduce waste and improve asset/equipment performance. You will ensure the proper operation and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation system components including transmitters, actuators, controllers, motor and drive systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and distributed control systems (DCS) for process control. You will apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, and corporate standards.
**Responsibilities**

+ Participate in reliability-focused design changes to reduce waste and improve asset/equipment performance.
+ Ensure proper operation and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation system components.
+ Apply all applicable codes, regulations, reliability strategies, and corporate standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency with Rockwell, ABB, and Valmet equipment.
+ Experience with smart instrumentation such as Fisher and Rosemount.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software and CMMS.
+ Knowledge of transmitters, actuators, controllers, motors, drive systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associates degree

**Work Environment**
You will work in an indoor/outdoor non-climate controlled facility with brand new machines. Training will be on the day shift from 6am-4:30/5pm for up to one year, then moving to a 12-hour rotating shift between day/night. You will have 15 days off a month due to the schedule, working 40-50 hours a week with available overtime. The company culture is Canadian-run, valuing employee happiness and fostering a family environment. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, t-shirts, safety vests, and PPE.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Ashland, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00/yr.
