Early Career C-17 Structural Technical Analyst

The Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a motivated self-starting Early Career C-17 Structural Technical Analyst to join the C-17 Program Engineering Team located in Long Beach, CA. 

This position is an opportunity for college graduates in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, or other Scientific fields to obtain experience in aircraft flight data reduction and analysis. They will be working within the C-17 Structural Design, Analysis, & Loads team. They will become familiar with C-17 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program requirements and participate in providing the contractually required reports and briefings.

Position Responsibilities:

Works with other C-17 structural tracking program Analysts to collect, process, and review C-17 flight recorder data for structural analysis. Follows C-17 Aircraft Structural Integrity program requirements and participates in providing the contractually required reports and briefings.Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.Performs limited structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.Assists in gathering and inputting data for structural analysis, fleet structural support analysis and structural testing. Inputs and retrieves data from existing databases. Updates and maintains document librariesParticipates in various test activities substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.Works under general supervision.May be asked to support additional military related programs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years’ work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Associate degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1+ years’ experience with fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.1+ years’ experience with finite element modeling structural analysis methods and tools.1+ years’ experience in structural analysis.Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.

Associate Level (2) Summary pay range: $45,900 -$62,100
