Early Careers: Community Impact Intern Aon is looking for one dedicated, enthusiastic intern to join our Community Impact team this summer. Aon’s US-based Community Impact team seeks a passionate, energetic individual to join us as a summer intern. This is a unique opportunity within Aon for folks who are passionate about service, volunteerism, public affairs, and philanthropy to learn how community impact serves colleagues, teams, and communities. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago office. The Community Impact intern will contribute meaningfully to Aon’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) goals. Our intern will interact with colleagues, teams and the many, many nonprofit partners we work with. A Typical Day Could Include: Analyzing data about our programming, including colleague donations, matching gifts and volunteer hours Meeting with leaders at local nonprofits to explore opportunities to engage Aon colleagues and share insights Planning and launching purpose-driven events that connect our colleagues to their communities and to each other Reviewing grant agreements and impact data from our partners Researching what our peer companies are doing in this space; collecting and sharing benchmark data that makes us smarter Creating and disseminating tools that help making volunteerism easy Troubleshooting for colleagues How this opportunity is different 10-week paid program across, rooted in Chicago Engage in fun and challenging projects with nonprofit organizations Access to many parts of the firm, including the people organization, Chicago-area leaders, global leaders and talent Personalized one-on-one internship mentoring Continuous formal and informal feedback Social outings and community service activities Skills and experience that will lead to success Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Great teammate with independent work capability Results-oriented focus Strong interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills Alignment with Aon’s values: integrity, client commitment, and community dedication Preference for candidates with event planning experience or who wish to learn event planning Adaptability, quick learning ability, and professional demeanor Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Qualifications: This position is available to rising juniors and seniors Please note: we do not offer sponsorship for this role. The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $20.50 - $26.50 hourly. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. Aon offers a benefits package for temporary and seasonal employees who will work 20 or more hours per week including: medical, dental, and vision insurance at the employee’s expense, critical illness insurance, 10 Company holidays per calendar year (paid, if eligible), paid sick leave as provided under state and local law, and a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions.
