Graduate Program Overview 

The CRB Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a non-rotational two-year-program that provides the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge base, varied skills, and diverse network. This program is designed to set you up with a holistic view of CRB with hands-on experience, insight, and opportunities to make an impact and shape your own career.  

GDP participants will be immersed in a 1-week-in-person orientation followed by a robust onboarding training learning about various functions within CRB. Our program is designed to provide graduates with a well-rounded understanding of the industry while having the opportunity to deep dive within their respective business area. 

Insurance Solutions Overview 

Verita is an independent managing general underwriter (MGU) that specializes in underwriting and  

delivering superior claims, handling comprehensive engineering and loss control best practices, and  

bespoke risk management solutions to best in class insured clients in targeted industries. Utilizing partner fronting carrier/s and solid (re) insurers, capital providers and institutional investors, Verita aims to be the carrier of choice in its targeted industries. A role in insurance solutions is suited to individuals who value underwriting technical knowledge and building strategic relationships with brokers and insureds. Individuals must be self- motivated, have excellent communications skills and enjoy success within a collaborative culture.

Responsibilities: 

Exhibit strong technical underwriting skills through strategic, thorough account reviews and file documentation    Grow and maintain profitable book of business through the execution of individual risk underwriting and adherence to the strategic plan of the unit    Stay current on competition, underwriting environment, and market conditions and share that knowledge with colleagues and leadership    Travel to and complete marketing/sales meetings in assigned territories within designated region    Exhibit good understanding of pricing components and rating methodology; prices risk based on financial and competitive analysis    Prepare or analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status and declinations to drive results within the assigned territory    Monitor production, profitability and maintains agency relationships    Effectively communicate (written/verbal) information to both internal and external customers to ensure our standards of excellence are maintained    Ensure underwriting and service standards are met on assigned accounts    Review profitability of each account on a quarterly basis in a strong, auditable condition    Develop strong productive relationships with brokers in assigned territory(ies)    Accurately document each account consistent with Verita’s documentation best practices and in compliance with state and regulatory standards.    Adhere to individual Letter of Authority and obtain written approval on accounts outside individual authority.   

Role requirements

Education and Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA  Date of Graduation between May 2024 – May 2025  Preferred Majors: Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Liberal Arts  Intermediate to advance Excel skills  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 

Competencies: 

Excellent written & verbal communication skills  Excellent presentation skills, analytically driven and detail oriented  Exceptional interpersonal skills  Proficient in time management  

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary range and benefits information for this position are included in accordance with the requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation: The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $75,000 – 85,000 USD.  This role is also eligible for overtime.
