Early Education Social Worker
Overview: Westchester Jewish Community Services is seeking a part-time, hourly Early Education Social Worker for our Jewish Programs division to work with the SEED (Supporting Early Emotional Development) Program at Jewish Early Childhood Centers. This position is up to 20 hours per week for 9 months per year, September through May, with a compensation range of $30 - $35 per hour. Responsibilities: As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: + Develop and maintain relationships with program directors and staff at assigned Jewish Early Childhood Centers, meeting with them to assess needs. + Offer services to sites not limited to classroom observation, consultation with teachers, parents and site directors, facilitation of sessions with teachers and parents. + Responsible for all recording and statistical procedures required by agency including monthly statistical sheets, schedules, surveys, etc. + Other duties as required. Requirements: We are seeking candidates who have the following qualifications: + Masters Degree in Social Work for Education from an accredited school, License preferred + Experience and knowledge of Early Childhood Development + Experience and knowledge of the Jewish Community + Ability to work with young children, parents, and teachers + Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other professionals and social workers What WJCS has to offer you: + On-Going Professional Training and Development + Employee Assistance Program + Staff appreciation events and employee mental health & wellness initiatives Why join Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS)?
