Early Learning Special Education JobID: 13572 + Position Type: Paraprofessional/ Early Learning Paraprofessional + Date Posted: 11/7/2024 + Location: Cedar River Academy + Date Available: 2024-2025    PRINCIPAL DUTIESSupervise students.Under the direction of professional staff work with students individually or in group settings.Consistently monitor student's learning and behaviors.Be available for any student need including health, toileting, behavior, and self help skills.To attend district workshops and trainings in order to continue learning about Early Childhood Education.Other duties as assigned. CLASSIFICATIONTeacher Associates Seven hours and thirty minutes (7.5) per day4 days per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday$16.60/hrEMPLOYMENT DATEStart date to be determinedPREPARATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLSMust have at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education, a current CDA credential, two years post secondary education or Paraeducator certificate.?Required to obtain pediatric first aid and CPR.Willingness to assume responsibility.Ability to work well with others.Flexibility in working with classroom teachers.Ability to work independently.Good oral and written communication skills.Enjoy working with preschool age children.Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus while supervising students and working with computers, written materials, reports, assessment data, etc. WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
